Installing the licenses

Perform the following task on the Meridian Enterprise application server.

Before you begin

Completing this task requires that you have received license transaction keys from BlueCielo ECM Solutions or a Solution Partner.

To install the Meridian Explorer licenses:

1. Open Meridian Enterprise Administrator from the Windows Start menu or other shortcut.
2. Click License Server in the left pane and click the Licenses tab in the right pane. The currently installed licenses appear.
3. Type the transaction keys you received for one license type into each of the Qty., Part Number, Serial Number, and License Key fields. If you also received an authorization key with the license, type it in Authorization Key. If you did not receive an authorization key, leave Authorization Key empty. When a valid transaction key combination has been typed, the Add button will be enabled. If the Add button remains cleared after you have typed a transaction key, it usually means that a character of the transaction key is missing or incorrect.
   
   Note    The transaction keys are not case-sensitive, but must be typed completely, including any leading zeros.
4. Click the Add button. The license appears in the list of installed licenses.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each license.
6. If you received authorization keys with your transaction keys and typed them, license installation is complete and you can continue with the next installation step. If you did not receive authorization keys with your licenses, continue by clicking the Registration tab. The current registration information appears.
7. Send the registration form that is shown to BlueCielo ECM Solutions by email or fax using the buttons, email addresses, and fax numbers provided on the Registration page. You will receive authorization keys for the unauthorized licenses within one to three business days via the method chosen when the registration form was first completed. Until you type authorization keys, the software will be fully functional for 30 days but will display a registration reminder message.
8. When you receive the authorization keys, repeat steps 1 through 4 to type the authorization key that corresponds to each transaction key.
